I felt like I was floating on air or room temperature water. I was weightless. Then I felt a hit on my chest and felt like I was pulled down. I felt a faint pounding in my chest. Then I got lighter and then felt a hit to my chest again. In the darkness, light flashed and I could see people all round me. They were shouting, running around, and rushing, all hovering over me. Waking up is the hardest thing you have to do. When you have the best night sleep you've had ever, waking up is hell. Curled up against Danny, warm, safe, refreshed, I didn't want to wake up. I sat at the bar of Danny's Diner & Bar holding the letter. Even after flipping it back and forth in my hand, I couldn't believe. My jet black hair was pulled into a tight pony tail that swung every time I shook my head at the letter. Danny, the owner of Danny's Diner & Bar, stood behind the bar drying glasses, wiping down the bar, stacking the clean glasses, and throwing away the empty beer bottles.
